Easter Class 2010

Hi all! These are the items we made in the Mom'n'Me Easter Class this past weekend. We had 5 girls here, ranging from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. I have to say, I was so impressed with each and every project the girls created! There were so many fun variations, they all looked gorgeous! (I'm going to admit it here...the oldest girl taught me a new way to use an old punch! Love that these girls can bring new "eyes" to my old habits!!!)

We made 4 projects, we started with the Easter Bunny Chocolate slider, moved on to the "to go" egg decorating kit (in the bag that doesn't show up too clearly), made 3 egg wrappers (although one mom pointed out they'd make fabbo napkin holders!), and the frame with the hidden Easter Bunny. It was a great class, thanks girls (and Moms!) for making it so fun!

SPCC #41

Ok, this post? This one, may be my favorite! One of my fave things about being an SPCC Diva is that week after week I am pushed into being creative, AND coming up with a pleasant design! LOL! I have to tell you all...this week, Samantha threw down THIS color challenge:

...and I was STUCK! With a capital ST! Yikes! My normal creativity comes from pulling out all the coordinating inks, papers, embellies and seeing where that takes me. Today, for an instant, I went NO WHERE! So I paused. I waited. I thought about moving onto my next challenge. But no. I looked outside. We have GORGEOUS spring weather where I live, temps are waaaaaay above norm. I see birds. I see butterflies. I see....wait a minute.....those were PUMPKIN PIE butterflies, near my SOFT SUEDE (bare) tree! HELLO! Can-ya-imagine-a-gorgeous-almost-amethyst-birdhouse????? I CAN! So, Voila! Another card was born! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!!!

Head on over to the SPCC blog to see all the other great entries, and to enter a creation of your own!

Ingredients: (All SU!)
Soft Suede CS, Classic Ink, Stampin' Write, 5/8" Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, Almost Amethyst CS and Classic Ink, Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink, Very Vanilla CS, Branch Out Stamp Set

I'm also entering this in the Our Creative Corner Challenge-which is to make an Easter or Spring card.

SPCC 40

Good morning all! I finally had a chance to make an SPCC card on my "off" week! I love anything pink and chocolate, and was really inspired by the creations you all have been entering! I love that even though we all use the same color combo, our cards can come out with a totally different vibe depending on the dominant color we choose. Well, as always, my automatic dominant color would be chocolate, so I tried to bury that instinct today, and make it my most recessive color. I like the outcome!

Ingredients: (all SU! unless otherwise mentioned)
Chocolate Chip Card Stock and 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Pretty in Pink Card Stock, Really Rust Classic Ink, Stamp from my local discount store, Gems from a dollar store.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hi all! Have you been to the first ever SPCC blog hop yet? If not, click here to start it...seriously something you don't want to miss! The Diva's created fantastic samples, and there are great prizes to be won! Please create your own entry and post it to the SPCC site, I can't wait to see what you some up with!

Anyway...Samantha posted the colors and "green" challenge for us (use something recycled a.k.a. "green" to make a project), and I literally ran for the studio stairs to start creating. I made this card, which I LOVED, and was so proud of. Problem being??? Uh, I ran with the "green" theme (recycled paint chips)...HOWEVER I totally neglected the actual color scheme and just made up my own! EEKS! The next day I wandered back into the studio and created my "official" entry, but here's the one that was the inspiration! ;o)

Ingredients: (All SU! unless otherwise noted)
Very Vanilla CS, Old Olive Classic Ink, Fresh Cuts Stamp Set, Heart to Heart Punch, Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, Paint chip from Behr

The party takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours (depending on the age and number of "partiers" present), and I would go to your house to help with the creating, or you could purchase the supplies and instructions, and run it on your own. Contact me for more info, if desired.
