PaperCrafts Magazine, Challenge #9-Use Bleach

Hi everyone! Have you guys seen THIS mag yet? I am seriously loving the creativity boost it's inspiring! Challenge #9 was to use bleach. I made a little "stamp pad" out of paper towels and a bit of bleach, and came up with this vintage-y looking card. Just as a bit of warning...the bleach continues to lighten the card stock for quite a while after the image first appears. My bicycle was a perfect Creamy Caramel color (retired SU! CS) when I made the card, but by the time I photographed it the next day, it had lightened to a Crumb Cake color.

If you're inspired to make a card using today's challenge, I'd love to see it! Please link it below.

Ingredients: (All SU! unless otherwise noted)
Early Espresso CS and Baker's Twine, Creamy Caramel CS (retired), Button Latte Buttons, Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set, Soft Suede Classic Ink, Bleach from laundry room :o) and Doily from my crafty stash

I only had white felt in the house, and my plan for all of these challenges, is to use products I already have in the house :o) I went soft and elegant with this pretty little card. PaperCrafts Magazine challenge 2-Make a Creative Handmade Flower

Hi everyone! Welcome back to challenge #2 from THIS mag! I'm lovin' it!!! Todays flowers were made from doilies I brayered with So Saffron Classic Ink to give them an even, soft coloring. I cut out the centre circle of the doily, added Sticky Strip to the cut edge, and loosely rolled them into a flower form. Although I won't be ale to mail these cards, I will definitely be making flowers like this again...that's the neat thing about these challenges. I'm learning different techniques I would never have normally tried!
And this card is the WHOLE reason I bought this magazine! Seriously! I've adapted it to my punches and used Stampin' Up! products to CASE it,  but I loved the original version so much I had to copy it!

Please join me in these fun challenges, and add your card below using the linky!

Ingredients: (all SU! unless otherwise noted)
Family Reunion Stamp Set, Baja Breeze CS and Classic Ink, Whisper White CS, So Saffron CS and Classic Ink, XL 2 step Bird Punch, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Brayer, Doilies (non SU!)

Interesting Inspiration....

Do you ever see a pattern or a layout in a totally unusual area and think it would make a GREAT card? This one came from a swim suit at the gym! I never ran into the lady again after that day, I'd planned on giving this to her to thank her for the inspiration!

Greeting Card Class

Hi everyone! These cards are from a class held back in November. We made 8 cards (2 each of 4 designs). We kept them "sentiment free" so they could be used for any occasion. Cards #2 and #4 were CASEd from somewhere, but now I can't find where from. If they belong to you, please let me know so I can give credit where it is due!

Super Sweet, Super Easy Place Setting

As I said, I'll be going backwards to post projects made over the past few months, in order to catch up on my long neglected blogging! These place card settings were originally made for the Holiday Hoopla 2012 event that Deb, Cathy and I held way back in November. Needless to say they made an appearance at several parties after that day. So quick and simple to make (thanks to the Holiday Ornaments Framelits Die, and Ornament Keepsake Stamp Set which are both still available to order) and so sweet with the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, and the Jewelery Tag Medium Punch which was topped off with a gold thread bow and a (retired) tiny jingle bell. They were well received by all!

Christmas Countdown 2012 Swaps

Good morning everyone! These were the Christmas Countdown Swaps I created for our 2012 team swap. Once again, I used the Jacob's Ladder technique. In the photos below, you'll see that whether you open the cards bottom up, or top down, the ribbons will hold the gift cards in place. They're truly a cool card to play with!

This is how I packaged my gift card. We are to make the packaging simple, and so I wanted to show you that with only 1 stamp, and a few scraps of paper, even a plain white envie can turn into a pretty little gift package! Love it!

Ingredients: (All SU!)
Summer Starfruit CS, Classic Ink, and 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, Real Red CS, Whisper White CS, Marina Mist CS, Scallop Square Punch, 25 + Counting Stamp Set, Ornament Keepsake Stamp Set, Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies, 1" Square Punch, Basic Gems.

Merry & Bright Christmas Card

Hi there! I'm embarrassed to admit, I've had MDS for many years now, and MDS 2 since it was released, and I really haven't had an opportunity to work with it. So, in December, I sat down and started to play. I created this postcard for friends as a hostess gift, and they LOVED it! I printed off 100 of them so I am sure there are some floating around out there somewhere :o) (in case you are wondering, we ran together in  the Santa Pursuit, a fundraising run in our city, and the photo was taken there. Imagine 1000+ Santa's running down the road! It was so fun!!!) I definitely plan to experiment some more with MDS, stay tuned for results!

Valentine's Day Class. Sat. Feb 2, 3-5pm

Hello everyone! I"m back! I have so much to share, so many cards and 3D items made in the past few months of non posting, that I felt quite overwhelmed. And as a result, got waaaaaay behind on my posts. Then it seemed like too much work to start again. But alas, here I am, and will have frequent posts to catch up to current day creations. Hope you enjoy! :o)

Come join me on Sat. Feb 2, from 3-5pm (it won't take you that long, but we have the time booked to gab and create if you want to work slowly) to make 1 each of the above cards. If you'd like to put in a double order, lmk and I'll prep 2 kits for you. Cost: $10. Contact me today to save your seat!

PS- This post will stay at the top until the class is over, please continue to come back to check out new posts below!

Valentine's Day Card Class

Hi everyone! I hope you'll be joining us for today's Valentine's Day Card Class. We are making one of each of the following cards. If you've missed signing up, and want to create these cards, contact me today to book your own party, or a class for you and your friends!

I love, love, LOVE this card. Can't you see it as a wedding card, or with a change of paper, little girl's birthday invite, a grad card or a 16th Birthday card? Love it! It features the new Dress Up Framelits Dies, and a few embossing folders. Easy peasy but so pretty! (CASEd from Inking Idaho)

This card features a bit of quilling, it was my 1st attempt at it, and truly, not very difficult! The gemstones have been colored with a black Sharpie Marker, an easy way to make your gems match any color you want!

This card was inspired by a commercial Christmas Card I received this year, and I have to tell you, it's much prettier IRL. Sparkly, and 3D, absolutely beautiful!

And for the final card, I've saved the soft romantic one for the end. Some textured edges, buttons and bows and doilies, make for a great Valentine's Day Card!

Super Cute Snowman Chocolate Bar Wrapper

I received this gift from my sideline, Dusty, in my Christmas Countdown Swaps this year. She designed it all on My Digital Studio and printed it on Whisper White CS. So simple (once it's all designed! ;o) and SO sweet! The addition of a hand stitched touque and scarf and that teeny tiny tag sentiment finish it off perfectly! Thanks Dusty!
